A recently published study titled “Homicide Risk During 10-Day Waiting Period Among First-Time Handgun Purchasers in California“ of over 1 million first-time handgun purchasers in California found zero homicides occurred during the state’s 10-day waiting period- directly countering arguments that waiting periods leave buyers dangerously vulnerable. The findings add important evidence to the debate over firearm waiting period policies.
